Senior research fellow with the 1640-1660 Section of the History of Parliament Trust. He previously completed a 1994 Cambridge PhD on the court of James II and has since published a number of articles on the British court in the late seventeenth century. His work for the History of Parliament has concentrated on East Anglia during the 1640s and the 1650s. He is the Treasurer and Secretary of the Society.
