Membership of the Society for Court Studies is open to interested scholars and students from any country and to those from related disciplines (for example military history, art history or music history). If you wish to join, please contact one of the Membership Administrators (details below).
Memberships are for one calendar year (i.e. January to December) and include two issues of our journal The Court Historian - The International Journal of Court Studies, which is published in June and December and is sent to non-UK members by air mail. Should you join during the course of the year, you will automatically be sent issues of The Court Historian already published during the year. However, it is also possible to start your membership in January of next year. You will then be sent details on how to order back issues of the journal. Applications received in November and December will start in January the following year.
Annual membership costs (including two issues of The Court Historian) are as follows:

Students / Under 25

Institutional member
£ 45 / $ 60
Life membership
£ 400 / $ 675
Payment can be made by cheque, bank transfer, standing order or credit card (contact one of the Membership Administrators for more information). The fees given in pounds sterling are applicable to members in Britain and the rest of Europe, and those in dollars to members in North America; members elsewhere in the world may pay in either currency.
