Research unit: German and Applied Linguistics, German Department

GRAMIS research: Gabriele Diewald works on the grammaticalization of modality, evidentiality, modal particles and discourse phenomena and on the relation between grammaticalization and (inter)sub-jectification. The approach is predominantly diachronic and has a focus on the diachronic stages of German.
