René Van Grieken received in September 2009 the biennial CSI Award for his career-
long outstanding work in analytical spectrometry, especially X-ray spectrometry and
the applications thereof, and in environmental research.
This Award consists of a certificate (see picture below) and a money price.
The Award was given during the plenary opening of the
36th Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale (CSI XXXVI) in Budapest.
