Cauchas fibulella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

A not so common and local species in 4 provinces of Belgium.

The larva lives first in the seed capsules and later on the lower leaves of Veronica chamaedrys. Pupation in the larval case wich is constructed from leaf fragments. 

The adults fly in May and June. They are active in sunshine and resting on the flowers of Veronica. chamaedrys.
