A
common species throughout Belgium.
The
early stages are unknown. The older larva lives in a bivalved case on
the ground, feeding on dead leaves. It hibernates twice and pupates
inside the case.
The
adults fly from late April till early June. The moths are active in
late afternoon and at dusk.
