Eilema lurideola (Zincken, 1817)

A rare species in many localities in Belgium.

The larva feeds on lichens. Hibernates as young larva and pupates in a cocoon in a bark crevice.

The adults fly from mid June till August in one generation a year. They come to light and sugar.
