In
Belgium only known from the most southern place in the province of
Luxemburg and older observations from the 'Viroin at Namur, and also
there very rare and very local. Recently (2007) rediscovered in the
province of Namur.
The
larva lives on various herbaceous plants and trees like Salix,
Sorbus, Taraxacum, Trifolium,
Vaccinium, Plantago,
Calluna
vulgaris etc... Hibernates as a larva among plant debris
The
adults fly from early June till the end of July. They come to light,
usually late at night.
