Oegoconia caradjai Popescu-Gorj & Capuse, 1965

The most common species of this genus in Belgium.

The larva lives on vegetable detritus, rotten leaves and in waste of straw in barns and stables. Pupation takes place in a loose cocoon, covered with excrements amongst leaf litter.

The adults fly in July and August, but indoors they can be observed till October.
