Blastobasis phycidella (Zeller, 1839)

A very rare species in Belgium, only known from 2 provinces.  

The larva has been found on decomposing wood of Quercus, among fallen pine needles and from autumn to spring amongst dried fungus. Pupa not described yet.

The adults fly probably in one generation a year: from end of June till early August. They come to light.
