A
rare species locally distributed in Belgium. Can be
sometimes a pest
The
larva lives mainly on Malus
spp., in the leaves were it feeds on the parenchyma from the upper
surface, creating a skeleton leaf appearance. It also takes other
foodplants like Sorbus
and Crataegus.
The
adults fly in two generation per year: in July and during September.
The moths of the second generation overwinters and reappear in spring.
They are active during the day.
