Coleophora gryphipennella (Hübner, 1796)

A rare and local species in Belgium, hitherto only recorded from 2 provinces.

The larva lives in a flat, serrated, bivalved case, constructed from leaf margins of Rosa. It hibernates.

The adults fly in June and July.
