An
uncommon species in Belgium.
The
larva lives in an ochreous case on the underside of a leaf of Carduus, Carlina, Centaurea, Cirsium and Arctium but especially on Cirsium arvense. Pupation in the case, usually attached low down to herbage.
The
adults fly in one generation a year; during June and July. They come to light.
