A
rather common species in Belgium.
The
larva feeds from a tubular leaf case on Alnus, Butula, Carpinus, Crataegus, Malus, Sorbus and Tilia. Pupation in the case attached to a stem of the
food plant, vegetation or tree trunks.
The
adults fly in one generation a year; onwards from May till late June.
