A
rare species in Belgium.
The
larva feeds from a rather straight, greyish white case preferably on Stellaria holastea, but also on other Stellaria species, Arenaria serpyllifolia, Cerastium and on Myosoton aquaticum. Pupation in the case attached to a stem of the food plant, vegetation or tree trunks.
The
adults fly in one generation a year; onwards from late May till the end of July. It has not been recorded at light.
