An
species imported with greenhouse crops which escaped to nature and can
survive when winters are not too cold. First recorded at 12 August 1998 at Wachtebeke (OV).
Hitherto (2003) reported from 4 Belgian provinces only, but a steady
spread is to be expected. Recently (2005) recorded for Brabant, which
make the fifth province. In 2006 recorded in West-Vlaanderen.
The
larva lives on a great variety of foodplants. It is extremely polyphagous.
The
few Belgian specimens recorded from nature were all caught between June
and August and a very late one in October.
