A
southern species which is a very rare migrant in our country. First
recorded in 1932. It
doesn't occur every year and not so many specimens have been
seen
so far.
The
larva lives on Jasminum
officinale,
Ligustrum,
Forsythia
and Olea.
The
adults have been seen from August till late October. Flies at night and
comes to flowers, including ivy and buddleia, and to light.
