Sclerocona acutella (Eversmann, 1842)

First observation of this species in Belgium was on 19 June 2003. A very local and very rare species in Belgium, only observed in one locality in the province of Antwerpen. Hitherto only known from that record.

The larva is reported to live on Phragmites australis.

The adults have mainly been observed in June.
