Agonopterix assimilella (Treitschke, 1832)

An uncommon species in most areas of Belgium.

The young larva mines the twig of Cytisus scoparius and later between spun twigs. Also reported from Genista. Hibernates as a young larva in the twig.

The adults fly March towards September in one or perhaps two generations a year. It comes not often to light.
