A
rather common species in most areas of Belgium.
The
young larva mines the leaf, and later it lives in a slight web on the
underside of the leaves of Cirsium vulgare or C.
arvense. Pupation in autumn in the feeding place or in a
cocoon in the earth.
The
adults fly from September till July of the following year. They
hibernate.
