Elachista rufocinerea (Haworth, 1828)

A rather common species throughout Belgium.

The larva makes a whitish blotch mine near the tip of Holcus mollis, Arrhenatherum elatius or Festuca arundinacea. Pupation on a leaf under a slight cocoon.

The adults fly from in April and May. They are active from the evening onwards and come to light.
