Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Epermeniidae

This cosmopolitan family now contains 98 described species mainly in the Palaearctic and Australian regions, but it is certain that this is not the true number of representatives of the family, since more detailed investigations in the Ethiopian, Oriental, Australian and Neotropical faunal regions will undoubtedly produce a lot of hitherto unknown taxa (Gaedike 1996b: vi).
Identification: Buszko & Skalski 1980, Falkovitch 1990a, Gaedike 1966, 1968, Godfray & Sterling 1996, Gozmány 1956, 1958, Scholz 1996.
Nomenclature according to Fauna Europaea.
