A
common species throughout Belgium.
The
larva lives in a slight web on the underside of a leaf of Symphytum
officinale, S. tuberosum, Pulmonaria
officinalis or Lithospermum officinale.
Pupation in a white cocoon spunt amongst detritus. The pupa hibernates.
The
adults fly from early May till mid September. Autumn specimens might
belong to a partial second generation. The moths like to rest on their
foodplants during the day. They come to light.
