Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Bryotropha affinis (Haworth, 1828)

Rarely observed in Belgium, More frequently observed in the north of the country.

The larva lives on moss growing on walls.

The adults fly in June and July. They come to light.

ID: most species within this genus are not easy to separate because of individual variation and a tendency to form ecological forms, so it's best to separate them with examination of the genitalia for reliable identification.
