Rarely
observed in Belgium and only known from recent records from the province of Antwerpen. Probably overlooked.
The
larva feeds on moss growing on walls, living in a silken gallery.
Pupates in an open network cocoon inside the larval habitation.
The
adults fly from late May till late August. They are nocturnal and come to light.
ID:
most species within this genus are not easy to separate because of
individual variation and a tendency to form ecological forms, so it's
best to separate them with examination of the genitalia for reliable
identification.
