Rarely observed in Belgium, only known from 4 provinces with mainly old records before 1980. Recently (2004) observed again in the province of Antwerpen.

The larva lives on Malus spp. and Pyrus communis between spun leaves or in a leaf margin spun downwards. Pupation under  the bark of the foodplants.

The adults fly from June till August. They come to light.
