A
very rare and local species in Belgium, at present only known from the
three
southernmost provinces. This species is seldom seen, because of the
rarity and the late flight period at the end of the year.
The
larva lives on various deciduous trees, but especially on Quercus
and
Acer. Overwinters as an egg.
The
adults fly from half October till well into December, but most
observations mainly at the end of November and early December.
The males are attracted to
light. The
females are apterous.
