This
southern species is a very rare migrant and has been seen in most
provinces in Belgium. It doesn't occur every year, but if seen, only a
few observations and mostly singles.
The
larva lives on various herbaceous plants like Senecio, Convolvulus, Rumex and Chrysanthenum. This
species is not able to hibernate in our climate.
The
adults have been seen from April till November, but most observations
are done in late summer and autumn. Seldom seen except at light.
