Observed in many areas of Belgium.

The larva lives on the seeds of Dactylis, Festuca arundinacea or F. pratensis. Pupation in the stem.

The adults have been observed from mid May till mid June, most common in the second half of May. They fly in the sunshine and often can be seen on the white flowers of different Umbelliferae or the yellow flowers of Rancunculus.
