Acrocercops brongniardella (Fabricius, 1798)

A local and not abundant species in Belgium, known from many localities.

The larvae make very conspicuous, silvery blotch mines in the leaves of Quercus.

The adults fly in June and July. They hibernate and can be found again in April-May of the next year. They rest on tree trunks and come to light.
