Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Aspilapteryx tringipennella (Zeller, 1839)

An uncommon and scattered species in Belgium.

The larvae feed on Plantago lanceolata, when young, in a gallery leaf mine, later in upper surface blotch mine in a folded leaf. The second generation hibernates as a larva.

The adults fly in two generations: from late April towards late May and again in August. They come to light.
