Phyllonorycter froelichiella (Zeller, 1839)

An uncommon species in Belgium.

The larva makes a very long mine between two veins on the underside of a leaf of Alnus glutinosa. Often several together between veins and  extending from midrib  almost to  leaf-edge. Pupation inside the mine.

The adults fly during July and August and it's believed to have only one generation a year. They come to light.
