A
rather rare species wherever wayfaring-tree is to be found throughout
Belgium.
The
larva lives mainly on Viburnum lantana,
but can occasionally be found on V. opulus, V. tinus and very occasionally on Sorbus aucuparia. The mine is formed between 2 lateral veins, causing a strong fold and contorting the leaf. Pupation inside the mine.
The
adults fly in two generations a year; in May and in August.
