Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Phyllonorycter leucographella (Zeller, 1850)

A recently (1993) arrived species in Belgium, continuously spreading, mainly via gardens in which the larval hostplant is present.

The larva lives on Pyracantha coccinea and P. atalantioides. Blotch mine on upperside of leaf, occupying the whole leaf when full-grown. Pupation in the mine.

It is not clear how many generations per year are produced. The adults have been observed from early May till the end of September.
