Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Phyllonorycter muelleriella (Zeller, 1839)

Widespread in Belgium, but never common, more observed on the sandy soils of the Kempen.

The larva makes a mine on the underside of Quercus leaves, mainly Quercus robur and Q. petraea.

The adults fly in two generations a year: mainly in May and again in August. They often sit on the tree trunks. They come to light.
