Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Pharmacis fusconebulosa (de Geer, 1778)

This species is only known from a single record before 1980 from the centre of Belgium.

The larva feeds in the roots of mainly Pteridium aquilinum. Sometimes other food plants are taken, such like Luzula, Scirpus and Athyrium filix femina. The larva hibernates twice and pupates underground.

The adults fly from late May till the beginning of July. They are active from dusk onwards and later come to light.
