Phyllodesma ilicifolium (Linnaeus, 1758)

A rare species in Belgium, known from 5 provinces only, mainly in the south and from the Kempen.

The larva lives mainly on Vaccinium myrtillus, but also on Salix and other deciduous trees. Hibernates as pupa in a cocoon low near the ground.

The adults fly from mid April till mid May. They come to light, usually late at night.
