A
very tiny (about 3,5mm) and rare species in Belgium.
The
larva has been found on the tender, young growth of deciduous trees and
other herbaceous plants.
It hibernates. The imago feeds on the pollen of the flowers of Quercus, Crataegus and Acer pseudoplatanus
and other plants.
The
adults fly from early May till June. They are active during daytime.
