An uncommon to rare species in Belgium.
The
larva mines the leaves of Circaea lutetiana and different species of Epilobium, also found on Chamerion angustifolium.
It pupates in a whitish cocoon attached to a leaf or to leaf litter on the ground, occasionally inside the mine.
The
adults fly in one generation a year; from July till late May and overwintering in thatch, houses, hollows and other shelters.
