A
local and rather rare species in Belgium, known from four provinces
only.
The
larva mines the leaves of various species of Epilobium
. The egg is laid on the midrib and blotches are made in the leaves,
usually low on the plant. Pupation in a white cocoon, which is attached
to vegetation or leaf litter.
The
adults fly in two generations a year from May, June till August,
September. They come to light.
