A
local and rather rare species in Belgium, known from five provinces
and only two with recent observations.
The
larva lives in the roots and stems of Epilobium hirsutum.
Later on, it makes a mine on the underside of a leaf via the petiole
into a lower leaf. Pupation in a pale ochreous cocoon in the final
mine.
The
adults fly in June and July.
