A rare species in Belgium.
The
larva mines in a leaf of Quercus and rarely also on Castanea sativa,
usually in yellow, often fallen leaves, in a green island. The initial
mine is small and filled with frass usually near the leaf-stalk or
another vein. Later it ends abruptly in a blotch which contains a lot
of frass. Pupates outside the mine.
The
adults fly in one generations a year during June and July.
