A
not so common species in Belgium.
The
mine is found on the upperside of a Betula
leaf. It's circular without a preliminary gallery and with a dark
centre with only little frass outside the centre, never lying in arcs.
Often there are several mines in a leaf. Pupates in a dark
blackish green cocoon spun on the surface of the ground.
The
adults fly in one generation a year during June and July.
