A not so common species in Belgium, but probably much more widespread.
The
larva makes a long, sinuous leafmine in Rosa sp., filled
with linear frass. In the summer brood, pupation takes place in
a cocoon spun at the base of a leaf-stalk or on a leaf of the foodplant.
The
adults fly in two generations: April-May and July-August.
ID mine: mine very similar as Stigmella anomalella, but S. centifoliella has the early gallery filled with black linear frass leaving clear margins.
