A
not so common species in Belgium.
The
monophagous larva makes a leafmine on Acer pseudoplatanus.
The
adults fly in two generations a year; during May and
August.
ID
mine: a long contorted gallery, in the beginning the frass is
linear, but thereafter the frass is dispersed (separated grains in a
broad band) or linear (a small continuous central line), always leaving
clear
margins. The frass is never laid in arches. The two
forms occur
together, sometimes on the same leaf.
