A very local and rare species in Belgium. It has his stronghold in the province of Brabant.

The larva lives under the bark of dying decidious and pine trees, such like Picea, Pinus, Prunus, Pyrus, Robinia, Ulmus, Corylis, Quercus etc...

The adults have been observed from end of May till August. They are active especially during afternoon sunshine and later come to light.
