Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Opostega salaciella (Treitschke, 1833)

An uncommon and local species in Belgium.

The biology of this species is insufficiently known. The larva lives probably in a stem of Rumex acetosella and R. acetosa.

The adults fly in June and July. They rest during daytime low to the ground in the vegetation. They are active in late afternoon and towards dusk, and they come to light.
