A not so common species throughout Belgium. It was formerly more widespread. Most observations are in the south of the country. Near threatened.

The larva lives on several species of Umbelliferae, especially on Daucus carota.

The adults fly in two generations a year: from late April till the end of June, and from early July till the end of August.
