Pieris brassicae (Linnaeus, 1758)

A rather common species throughout Belgium. It was formerly more widespread.

The larva lives on several species of Brassicaceae.

The adults fly in three generation a year: from late April till early June, and the second and third generations overlapping from early July till the end of September.
