Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Dahlica triquetrella (Hübner, 1813)

A common species in Belgium, but often overlooked.

The larva lives on lichens and algae growing on tree-trunks, rocks and old walls. This is supplemented with dead insects for a successful development.

The males fly in April and May.
